ABOUT STERNE RACING:

Sterne Racing began in the winter of 2000. The driver for Sterne Racing is Gunnar Sterne. Gunnar races snowmobiles in the USSA circuit as well as racing go karts on the national level. In snowmobiling he has been state champion and world champion in many different classes for numerous years. He has also raced in the JR 2 class in go-karting, and has raced at 8 national races.

Gunnar started off racing his first snowmobile that he still has to this day, a ski-doo mini z, in drag races at hay days and other various snowmobile shows. Soon he began to race his sled on ice ovals and found immediate enthusiasm for the sport along with some huge success. During his first two years racing, he was known as the kid always got the holeshot. Not too much later, Gunnar began racing other kind of machines such as kitty cats and kitty mods: F1 and Champ. Gunnar's success continued, his support increased, and he has been undefeated in numerous seasons. Last year was also a good year at the ski-doo jr novice division. Gunnar is now entering his first year competing with the USSA snowmobile circuit which means bigger and faster sleds. Throughout his racing career, Gunnar has placed over 800 times in races he particpated.
